Living Bridges

livingrootbridgesThere a place in India called Cherrapunji. It’s apparently the wettest place on earth. Ficus elastica trees thrive there apparently. And the locals braid bridges with it’s roots. But instead of chopping them down and the bridge decaying over time, they just weave the roots as the tree grows, hence living root bridges. Awesome 🙂   [Living Root Bridges]
