Headed out to Rawson Lake on the weekend and it was absolutely gorgeous!
The trail head starts at the upper kananaskis lake parking lot (west end) and follows the shore of upper kananaskis lake before heading up some switchbacks into the forest. There are boardwalks set up to get through the muddier areas but the hike itself is totally worth it. Once there, you can catch and release cutthroat trout in the lake. Fly fisherman love this lake.
Avid hikers can walk around the lake and up the slope on the west side of Rawson lake. You could hike all the way up the ridge if you like. Beautiful view from up there.
