Picklejar lakes trail is a moderate relatively steep hike located in the Highwood pass. The hike leads to 4 small lakes with loads of cutthroat trout. Start at the lantern creek parking lot, cross highway 40 and follow the it to the north for about 100m. The trailhead is off to the right. It starts off in the trees, with occasional views back down in the valley. The path is narrow in places, but well-worn. Poles are recommended for the decent.
