- The Pantheon was rebuilt by Hadrian in 126 AD. Two Italian Kings Vittoria Emannuele and Umberto I (and his queen Margherita) are buried here.

- The oculus is the only source of light in the dome.

- The Interior is lavishly adorned.

- The floor has various inlays, and are decidedly non-geometric compared to the dome. It’s most a checkerboard pattern.

- A 43.3 m diameter sphere fits under this dome.

- The sunken patterns are called coffers. There are five rings, each with 28 squares.

- Various statues decorate the interior.

- Columns are absolutely massive and weigh about 100 tons each (40 feet tall)
