Kula Botanical Garden is located at 3,300 feet on the slopes of the Haleakala crater on eastern Maui. It’s famous for many kinds of Protea(aka. sugarbushes) which is native to South Africa.

They also have some resident Nene or Hawaiian Goose which are thought to have evolved from Canada Goose. They are indeed the world’s rarest goose and are a protected species.
